Christie was born in Fort Worth and lived most of her life in Texas. She attended Tyler Junior College, then graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in History. Christie then went on to receive her Juris Doctor degree from Baylor Law School. While in law school, she interned for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, the McLennan County District Attorney’s Office, and Dunnam & Dunnam. She was also a member of Phi Alpha Delta in Law School. Since being licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas, Christie has practiced law in Waco as a member of Dunnam & Dunnam.
Christie practices in a variety of areas which involve considerable courtroom work, including Civil Trial Law, Family Law, Appellate Law, Business Law, Commercial Law, Consumer Law, General Law, and Personal Injury Law. Her courtroom and trial experience ranges from both jury and non-jury to appeals to the Texas Supreme Court.
Christie is married to a professor at Baylor University School of Law. They have two children.
